コラム 信行会
アメリカでも檀信徒の方が参加できる信行会があります。各寺院ごとに行う時もあれば、何ヵ寺かで協力して行う場合もありますが、特に決まった研修方法はありません。
私の目標は、日本で学んだ信行会のやり方をもとに、全てのお寺で同じように信行会が行えるようにする事です。それができれば、正しい仏教の知識を身につけ仏教を広めることができる人を育てられるのではないでしょうか。アメリカは広大ですが、日蓮宗の寺院はまだ数えるほどしかありません。信行会に参加した人がそれぞれにお題目を広げるようになれば、もっともっと法華経を広げることができます。
また、将来的には、その中からお坊さんになりたいと言う人が出てきてくれればと願っています。
At the end of the month, there is shingyokai. Kannoji also has shingyokai. All the other temples too have shingyokai. There is also lay leader training, which each temple has their own program. My goal is to take what I have learned from gyogakudojo and shingyokai and create a new lay leader program so that all temples are following the same standards.
In this way, everyone coming out of the program will have the same knowledge in being able to spread the dharma. America is a vast land and there are only a few temples. These lay leaders can create satellite temples in which to spread the odaimoku. Then during big services, they can bring their congregation and join with the main temple. Hopefully some of these lay leaders will decide to become a priest.
